On this second day of Black History month 2023, I reflect on some of the amazing work and sacrifices of my father and his family including his amazing wife and partner, my mom. People have opportunities to take certain actions and risks when there is an understanding and supporting partner there every step. I am grateful to have watched and learned much from my parents knowing that we have obligations to make the greater society better.
