Proudly Announcing the 2022 Judge Willie J. Lovett, Jr. Scholarship Recipient

The Judge Willie J. Lovett, Jr. Scholarship Program proudly announces the selection of Aniyah Stevenson as the 2022 Judge Willie J. Lovett, Jr. Scholarship recipient. She is the Alfred Ely Beach High School (Savannah, Georgia) 2022 Valedictorian. Ms. Stevenson is scheduled to attend Augusta University in the Fall and major in Biology. Her career plan is to become an anesthesiologist.

Given the generous support of our donors, this year we also are providing a one time award of $1,000 to each of the other finalists from Beach High School - Andrel Shuman and Nicheala Edwards.

Additionally, in line with the Lovett Scholarship Program's mission, we are working to launch a 2-day speaking/presentation training program taught by a Metropolitan Atlanta area Professor. If approved, the pilot speaking/training program will be available to the three 2022 Lovett Scholarship finalists and seven selected Juniors at Beach High School.

Congratulations to the 2022 Lovett Scholarship recipient and other finalists. They went through a rigorous application and interview process. Also, thank you to each of our donors and volunteers for your continued support of the Lovett Scholarship Program.

*The 2021-2022 Beach High School designation was in honor of the 40th graduation year of the Late Judge Willie J. Lovett, Jr., Beach High School '81 (Valedictorian and Class President).
